My name is Allison, I’m from Long Island, and I am a recent graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, with a major in Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design. My time at FIT has given me a strong foundation in both 2-D and 3-D design. Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design, also known as VPED, has broadened my graphic design skills and understanding of spatial design and typography. The highlight of the program for me was the hands-on building projects.
I have been in love with art since I was two years old. All I wanted to do was color, and that continued through my entire childhood. In my constant quest for a creative outlet, I started sewing at just eight years old, learned how to crochet at age ten, and became an entrepreneur at the young age of eleven by selling hundreds of custom crochet flower headbands at boutiques and as party favors. In the beginning of my teenage years, I fell in love with Cake Boss and started decorating cakes; I made two-tiered fondant cakes for every friend's birthday all throughout high school. Even during college, when I was busy with my projects displayed here on my website, I was still looking for new creative hobbies. I started working with resin and created an Etsy shop for pop art trays and wall art. I have also built a reputation as the queen of Bridal Showers. I create everything from the invitation and graphics to the balloon garlands and centerpieces to the tablescapes.
